Matthias Ditscherlein is HoF’s MR. CINEMA

On Saturday evening, 6 February 2021 at 7:00 pm, filmmaker Matthias Ditscherlein and his documentary film will be our MR. CINEMA: A projector from 1938 – for 60 years. Helmut Göldner travels from village square to village square to entertain the inhabitants with his mobile cinema. And he does this with unbroken energy. In MR. CINEMA, director Matthias Ditscherlein shows an almost forgotten era – and cinema as it really is.

The world premiere at the 54th Hof International Film Festival was traditionally on 35 mm. Our HoF Rendezvous screening on Saturday will take place live online in the virtual Central Kino-Hof. The audience can actively participate in the film conversation through a chat function.

The screening is free of charge, but of course there is the possibility to buy a donation ticket with a freely selectable amount. All proceeds go to the filmmakers. We thank our Rendezvous supporters: Central Kino Hof, Rotary Club Hof and » Kino on Demand.

Since 2017, the Hof International Film Festival has been organizing the HoF Rendezvous under the motto “let’s do it again” at the Central Kino in Hof and the Lodderbast in Hanover. These are screenings organized throughout the year as part of the Hof International Film Festival. The filmmakers also present their films in person. By doing this, we allow the festival to have further impact and increase the anticipation for the next festival edition. And at the same time, the filmmakers are promoted once again through our communication channels.

The HoF Rendezvous currently takes place live and online in the virtual Central Kino with audience chats and with the support of the Rotary Club Hof and Kino on Demand.
