Film and Ticket Portal
The 54th International Hofer Film Festival 2020 will take place as a “Double Feature”. The festival consists of two festival components:
1. Presence screenings in the cinema
As always, there will be presence screenings in the Central Kino, the Scala and for the first time in the Bürgergesellschaft as well as in the Festsaal of the Freiheitshalle in Hof. Screenings for accredited professionals will take place in the Central Kino on the 1st floor. All screenings are organized in accordance with the applicable hygiene regulations. Against this background, all cinema tickets must be purchased online. Several visitors from one household can be seated next to each other on request.
Please note that for your safety in the cinema, masks are also required at the seat.

2. Films on demand at HoF On Demand (Video on Demand, VoD)
Accompanying the presence screenings, all festival films will be shown online at HoF On Demand on the Internet. The films can be watched as single release (VoD) after the premiere in the cinema. Selected film premieres are offered via livestream from the cinema. A film on HoF On Demand is available for 24 hours after the first play. The use of HoF On Demand is only possible from within Germany. Depending on the film, there may be limits for the maximum number of plays as well as for the time period available online.

As in the cinema, the films are offered in the form of screenings. With one ticket you can watch a short film and a long film, with a few exceptions.

You can get your tickets for the cinema screenings and for HoF On Demand on our film and ticket portal. Both cinema and VoD tickets require registration with an e-mail address.
You can also get your tickets for the cinema presence screenings in general ticket sales via the HOFER FILMTAGE APP from kinoheld. Please note: not for accredited professionals screenings.

Note for accredited professionals
As an accredited professional you will receive your accreditation code by e-mail in good time. Please enter the code when you register on our film and ticket portal. The portal will recognize your authorizations as soon as you are logged in.
For the health of all is mandatory:
- A minimum distance of 1.5 m to others must be maintained. Where compliance with the minimum distance in public space is not possible, a mouth and nose cover must be worn. Adequate ventilation must be ensured.
- Persons with unspecific general symptoms or respiratory symptoms of any severity as well as persons who have knowingly had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient in the last 14 days are not allowed to attend events.
- The requirements of the EQV valid at the time of the event must be adhered to for those entering from risk areas outside Germany. Possible legal restrictions for national guests from hot spots in Germany at the time of the event must also be observed.
