The Hof International Film Festival begins on 20.10.2020. The pandemic situation remains a challenge for everyone. Especially in the last few days this has led to constantly changing precautionary measures. For everyone’s safety, we would like to point out the latest requirements that must be taken into account when arriving. Please check online continuously so that you are up to date.
Even if it is “a little” complicated: we have to go through these requirements together! We ask for your understanding for this inconvenience and look forward to healthy Hof International Film Festival.
Duty to wear masks in the cinema
Please note that for your safety, masks must actually also be worn at your seats.
Arrival within Germany
Please note: The Bavarian State Chancellery is allowing the ban on accommodation to expire with effect from 16.10.2020. A negative test for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is no longer necessary for accommodation.
As you know, the ban on accommodation is applied in Bavaria. The following applies to trips from a domestic risk area to Bavaria:
- the traveler must have a medical certificate in paper or digital form, which confirms a negative test result for an infection with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The test must have been performed no more than 48 hours prior to arrival. The start of the 48-hour period is determined by the time of the smear test,
- the exceptional reasons “business trip” and “good reason” are not (!) applicable to the Hof International Film Festival
- Current information, for example the list of domestic risk areas, can be found here.
We ask for your understanding that the Hof Film Festival cannot cover the costs of a test.
Arrival from Europe and the Schengen area
Here the entry quarantine regulation (EQV) is to be applied: The Entry Quarantine Ordinance of 15 June 2020 (last amended by the Ordinance Amending the Sixth Bavarian Infection Control Ordinance and the Entry Quarantine Ordinance of 22 September 2020) stipulates that persons entering the Free State of Bavaria and having stayed in a risk area within 14 days prior to entry are obliged to go directly to their own apartment or other suitable accommodation immediately after entry and to remain there permanently for a period of 14 days after entry.
An exception to this rule is only possible after presentation of a negative molecular biological test. The test must not be older than 48 hours. The swab date applies. This regulation enters into force on 16 June 2020 and expires at the end of 8 November 2020.
Risk area is a state or region outside Germany for which there is an increased risk of infection with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 at the time of entry into Germany. You can find out here which countries are classified as risk areas on a daily basis:
